Meet our Bodyworkers trained in Prenatal Massage
Pregnancy brings about significant physical and emotional changes, and my goal is to create a soothing and nurturing space where you can relax and connect with your changing body. Did you know that prenatal massage can reduce stress, alleviate tension, and promote better sleep for expectant mothers? It’s not just about relaxation—this gentle therapy enhances circulation, reduces swelling, and can possibly contribute to shorter labor duration.
While pregnancy is a beautiful time, it can also be a wild and challenging journey that may take a toll on moms-to-be, both emotionally and physically. It is always an honor to offer nurturing massages to support them and to be a part of the incredible journey into motherhood.
I firmly believe that a self-care practice is an essential component of providing the best care for your children, even during pregnancy.
It is my absolute joy and honor to provide prenatal massage to my pregnant clients at all stages of their pregnancy journey. Each session is created to address mom’s unique needs as her body changes to support and nurture her growing baby. By using various techniques including reflexology, craniosacral and Swedish massage a deep state of relaxation is achieved, benefiting both mom and baby. Whether you are looking to reduce stress prior to conception, you have recently given birth or are at any point along that journey, I look forward to seeing you.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate all expectant mothers. It is a profound transformation on all levels. The centre of gravity changes as well as the ligaments are more relaxed. This may cause more tension in the body particularly in the lower back. I like to integrate Craniosacral Therapy to initiate deep relaxation and gently release any holding tension. I also believe it is also calming for the baby in the womb! Shiatsu and acupressure can also alleviate pain and enhance energy levels post session. Pregnancy massage is beneficial for both you and the baby due to increased circulation that will circulate nutrients and oxygen. It is an honour for me to assist and guide the expectant mother.
Please Note: We do not offer RMT Massage at HÄLSA so most extended health insurance will not cover massage here. Our Certified Massage Practitioners do not work with claims.
